What’s been happening:

After graduating, I spent 3 years in the Air Force as a weather officer in the Strategic Air Command with tours in the UK and Azores Islands. Then I joined Aerojet General in California where I helped design the engines for the Titan III and the top stage for the Titan IIIC launch vehicles. My wife and I then moved to Connecticut were I joined United Technologies as an Aerospace Engineer and helped design the attitude control system for the ATS satellite. While there we had two great children. After that I joined IBM who moved us to Southern California where I managed a team that supported Rockwell with IBM products. It was during that time that Rockwell won the Space Shuttle contract as well as the contract for the development of the Global Positioning System, or GPS as we know and love today. I retired from IBM in 1992 and formed my own consulting company and have been under contract to Boeing in Huntington Beach, CA. Ironically, Boeing bought Rockwell in 1996. We are enjoying life in Long Beach with a winter house in Palm Springs.
